2016 – 2019
Alowan means “singing a song of praise” in the Lakota Sioux language. One can, by standing in a tallgrass prairie on a windy day, be a witness to one of nature’s own songs of praise. These long-exposure (2-8 seconds) photographs are my attempt to capture and communicate that experience.
